Keep cash payments for car parking in the Cotswolds

URGENT! Sign this petition to keep cash payment for parking in the Cotswolds

The Cotswold District Council LibDem administration has introduced a new car parking App which means you can pay for car parking on your smartphone. From March next year, the ability to pay by cash will be removed entirely.

We know that many people can't or don't want to use an App to pay for car parking. The Conservative group feel strongly that Cotswold shops and businesses need our help and support. Along with the 30% increase in car park charges introduced in September, we are really concerned that by making parking expensive and difficult, shoppers and tourists will be put off from visiting our market towns.

If you agree, please sign this petition. If, like us, you feel strongly, please contact your District Councillor direct and let him/her know your views. We would love to hear if you get a sensible response, just let us know.

Cotswold District Council should retain the option to pay by cash for parking in Council car parks.
